A conversation with NY Stylist, Sarah Harned

We sat down to chat with Sarah Kim Harned, an emerging stylist and friend of the brand, living in New York. Here, Sarah takes us through all things dining, vintage shopping and how to dress like an IT-girl in the city.

Q: A name your friends would refer to you as?

SK or Soojin – my Korean name!

Q: One thing you can’t leave the house without?

Depending on where I’m headed, mu dog Kobe. He’s my everything!

Q: Current fragrance?

On weekends I’ll wear Blanche from Byredo.

Q: The last song played on your Spotify?

I Know Places (Taylor’s Version) – I’m a loud and proud Swiftie.

Q: Wine or cocktail?

Tequila soda with extra limes, please!

Q:  How would you describe fashion in New York in three words?

I really love that there is no quintessential New York fashion. There’s something here for everyone. 

Q:  What are your top favourite restaurants to visit in the city?

Pinch Chinese once a week. 
Marlton Hotel lobby for a quick breakfast and coffee catch up.
Nubiani is my go-to.

Q: What are the best vintage stores in the city?
I‘ll share my favourite NYC vintage-find story—it was the night before my best friend’s wedding weekend and she and I were doing some last minute shopping in SoHo. We found ourselves at What Goes Around where the most perfect Chanel set was hanging on the rack. It fit her like a glove and we left squealing with a new plan for her rehearsal dinner look. I think the pieces you’re meant to have will always find you!

Q: What is your current favourite fashion trend?

Bias cut dresses have always been a personal favourite and I feel that they’re making a strong comeback—they’ll always be on trend for me.

Q: What are your ‘must-have’ pieces from Friend of Audrey’s Autumn collection?

The Pinstripe Top and Trousers is a really special set that can be worn together or separately. The Jordan Knit Tank also has the most beautiful hardware I’ve ever seen on a shirt.
